After searching high and low for the "perfect" double stroller, the Zooper Tango is as close to perfect as I've found. One of the most important pluses is the load capacity it handles. I can put my 17 mo. old in one side, and my 3 month old in his super heavy Peg Perego car carrier, plus load up my mega diaper bag and a few other items and still easily push with one hand. I have heard that other double strollers get really hard to push once loaded. In addition to the Tango being beautiful, I enjoy all the extras that came with it as well. The under seat storage is nice and large, though sometime cumbersome to access (if something won't fit in from the back, I can usually load it from the front). I can put both kids in, one in the infant carrier, and they each have plenty of room (the infant carrier doesn't impede on my toddler's space).
Unfortunately there are a few drawbacks:
The biggest is that I've had some trouble with the latch when the stroller is open. It takes some finagling to get it to lock sometimes, and I've even had it unlock when taking the stroller up a curb. I know other people are having trouble with this as well. Luckily, then this did happen, my kids weren't hurt. Furthermore, I doubt the stroller could really collapse if the kids are sitting in it. I really investigated this situation. I contacted Zooper about the problem, but they want me to ship the stroller to them in Oregon (on my bill), they'll inspect it and fix it if necessary. Aside from it costing small fortune to ship it, I'll be without my stroller for over two weeks. What am I supposed to do in the meantime? I visited a local baby store to check out their Tango and the salesperson shoed me how to better check the latch. It's not a prefect solution, but it's now easier for me to ensure the latch is locked.
My only other qualm is that the boot for the stroller is only made to be used when you have small babies s laying down in the stroller. I tried using it with my kids one cold day, and while it fit my infant's side perfect, my toddler was going to be cut off at the neckline if I were to attach it to his side. Instead I grabbed a medium sides binder clip and clipped it lower on the frame, so my son could sit up. Not ideal, but it's not like I use the boot every day (I live in South Florida)
Overall, the stroller is great. Yes, it's large and can be cumbersome, but it's a double stroller - what do you expect?
