$ Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL Convertible Car Seat Eclipse

We believe in keeping our children in 5 point harnesses as long as possible. Expecting our third child soon and having a smaller car, we were excited to learn that this seat was narrow and could accommodate our 5 year old for a few more years. Well, we were shocked at how our 5 year old did not fit in this seat! He is 48 inches tall and 47 pounds. The harness was adjusted at the top level and the buckle in between his legs was very tight against his body at the farthest point. His shoulders were also squished in as he could not relax his back. He was very uncomfortable and looked way too big for this seat. Our 3 year old fits great in hers, but we had to return our son's. Also, this seat is very, very heavy. It is not easy to travel with in any way. Once installed, you really do not want to take it out.
