We bought seat (in dark blue) from Amazon when our son was 3 months old. He was growing too big to sit comfortably in his Graco infant seat. He has done really well in this seat and it is so much better padded than his infant seat. We bought this seat based on the safety ratings and ease of use, and it has proved to be very easy to use. One of the best features is that you can adjust the height of the straps with your child in the seat, no need to unbuckle the seat. Also, the interior is so comfortable and lots of room on both the sides and at his feet. This is important because it will allow him to rear face for a lot longer than a year, since that is the safest way for him to be. This is the only seat we found with the rebound feature. I would highly recommend this seat. We have not had any accidents so I can't comment on the safety except to point to the high safety ratings and from the fit in the car.
